The Review:

Riley💚🌈💜Beck

As tropes go, second chances are not my thing. Typically, I will pass them by simply because I believe in always moving forward. Something told me to read this one, and I am so very glad I did. 

THIS was one of the most heartwarming love stories I have read this year. I loved the dual POV along with the step back in time at the beginning of each chapter. 

Along with that, “Back to You,” called to me because one of the MCs was an artist and Goddess knows I am a sucker for artists in love. Their passion is on such a cellular level it is felt throughout the universe. So, when this ARC passed my way it DEFINITELY was a no brainer for me. 

Because of the dual POV and the going back to adolescent memories of Riley and Beckett at the beginning of each chapter, I want to be careful about not giving anything away, that I shouldn’t. I loved that the story was written this way. It was quite enchanting really to glimpse the boys that Riley and Beckett were and then to see how time, and their time together as children had made them into the men they were today. 

Life had not been easy for either of the two, as children and because of situations beyond their control both ended in the foster care system. Luckily for them however, they both ended in a good home. 

Riley disappeared from Beckett’s life after years of being his dearest friend and Beckett has never stopped thinking about Riley and wondering what happened to him. Even years later, Beckett still searches for Riley and it is simply by happenstance or perhaps fate, that Beckett may have finally found him.💕

“Secrets, and lies may sink when first flung in the ocean of deceit, but they will always rise with the tide,” is something my granny used to say and it is so true. I only hate that it took so long for everything to come to light and for these two souls to get their HEA. But, as many can attest, everything happens for a reason. 💋

This isn’t too angsty, so don’t think that, but it is emotional at times, deals with depression, and “possible” suicide attempt (of secondary character). It IS also heartwarming and endearing.
