Bleed
by Joel Abernathy
The Blurb:
Vengeance.
My purpose, carved deeper into my soul than their names carved in my flesh.
Dominic.
The man who took everything from me, my own personal devil in shifting flesh.
Ursache.
My pack. The high-born family of wolves I’ve sworn my life to protect, even if my dying breath is pledged to another.
Mason…
My everything. Friend, confidant, enemy, lover. Most dangerous of all, he would become the reason I lived if I let him. He is the one thing I won’t allow Dominic to take from me. Love is not a luxury I can afford, but the sweetness of revenge has nothing on the taste of him…

The Review:
Couldn’t put it down!
Bleed… Gosh, that title definitely says it all. The second book in the Flesh and Bone Series was pretty dark compared to the first, in my opinion. While just as good, this story dealt with Mason, the pack Alpha leader’s son and Vasil, the pack’s sergeant and the Alpha family’s personal bodyguard.
In book one, I totally despised Mason because of his horrible attitude and how he treated Jack and Ellie. I liked Vasil because even though he was one of the alphas in the pack, he never strong armed Jack, but rather treated him with respect.
They’d kill and die for each other, but they chose to live for each other instead, and even I could see how much more that meant.
In book two we learn how Mason and Vasil had been best friends since childhood, and how a traumatic event left Vasil scarred emotionally and physically, and without a family. For 16years Vasil has survived on nightmares of the past and daydreams of vengeance against the hunter who robbed him of his family, years of his life, and part of his soul.
Now the hunter is back and he has decided to rob Vasil again. This time, the price is so high, Vasil will sell what’s left of his soul to vanquish his enemy.
I could live with being his dirty little secret. After all, he was mine.
This book was gut wrenching at times, and I wanted to put it down and take a break, but I couldn’t because I had to see what would happen next.
On to book #3! 😁
