This story ends on a HFN ending with a soft cliffhanger. Emery and Paxton’s story will continue in the next book of the series, Telltale Ghosts Book 2. I have to be honest and say, I did not think I was going to like this at first. I am pretty picky about the books I choose, so that rarely happens for me. This one though began slow, and then I absolutely abhorred the MC. I wanted to throat punch him in several occasions in fact. He was such an arrogant jerk, and I struggled with the issues he had with his HS rival. This guy went on to study at Yale, and has both money, and prestige to boot and he is still mad over a boy who could play a game better than he could as a kid. Ugh… 

Anyway, I adored the 2nd MC, and the story began to pick up and take off at a good pace around a third of the way in. Once that happens, the story soars. 

This was my first read by this authors, but I will def be back for a second helping. 🍨
