The Phantom Pregnancy
by C.J. Vincent
The Blurb: Rainleigh Mansion has a history filled with tragedy, but it’s a story that many in the town of Oakmount have forgotten. Once the center of a bustling steel and coal industry, Oakmount is now a sleepy college town and those that remember the past are almost all gone.

But when his long-shot application to attend Oakmount’s exclusive college is accepted, all he can do is hope that he’s finally found a place to truly belong. Maybe Oakmount will be different, just like him.
In the search for some companionship, Reese joins a campus club with members that are just like him — different, and when an surprising attraction leads to something more, Reese is content to just let it all happen. MMy Thoughts and Review:
💕👻Gale/Aitken and Rhys👻💕
I applaud the imagination of CJ Vincent, and enjoy the few hours of escape their books always gift me.
The Phantom Pregnancy, was easy to read. I enjoyed the way Gale’s Alpha character was presented to Rhys. I did find myself confused with the character, Aubrey, and would have liked to have seen his character with more page time. He started out as a fantastic antagonist and then just vanished. I would blame alien 👽abduction, but that never happens on the East Coast.
I loved the mysterious back story of the haunted house, along with the excitement of the paranormal society. That’s totally an East Coast thing! 😂 I liked the housemates and Rhys’ mom. Their characters were eccentric, and got on Rhys’ nerves in all the right ways. I was confused by the doc his I and would have liked those explained.
Even though there were a couple of plot holes and devices that could use some TLC, I enjoyed this quite a bit.💖
This is definitely not a typical Mpreg. So, if you are on the hunt for something a bit different, give this one a try. It was a bit offbeat, mysterious, included murder, tender romance, with a guaranteed HEA.
I read a complimentary (FREE) Advanced Reader Copy of this book & am voluntarily leaving an honest and unbiased review. 💋
