Phew! Now, that’s out of the way, Hi. I’m Mr. No, your friendly communications agent for The Assassins’ Guild AKA T.A.G.
I’ve been authorized by the head honcho himself, Mr. H, to release approved records from the agent files.
Agent Code Name Mr. W was recovering from a near death debacle by way of an easy assignment in a small mountain town. Red flags sprang up immediately around the seemingly innocent English professor. Determined to get to the bottom of the mystery Jacob Peters presented, Mr. W made plans to do what he did best, watch , wait , and then capture and interrogate.
But even the best laid plans can go awry…
Find out what brought Mr. W to his knees in this first release from the archives of The Assassins’ Guild.

MMy Thoughts and Review:
I really enjoy A.G. Carothers’ books but found myself struggling with this one. At times I felt I was listening to a book that was already inside a series and not the start of one. The premise of this series is really unique and I have no desire to give up on it just yet. After all, it is A.G. Carothers, and it could have just been me having an “off” day while listening to it.
This is an age-gap, and from what I made out the two MCs, Dimitri and Yoshi, always had a thing for each other, but one left out of respect for the other and maybe a little self-doubt, recrimination, and pride at loving someone he’d raised from infancy.
The story moved really fast in the second half and did a good job of setting up the series for future books. An “Assassins’ Guild” is definitely a worthy trope, so as I mentioned earlier, I am not giving up on the series just yet.
The Narrator, Gomez Pugh, was new to me and I felt they did a great job with all the accents. I hope he sticks around for the rest of the series too.
The Story: 3.0⭐
