Follow My Lead

Blurb:
Dimi Weston has always loved the theater—just not as much as loves managing things. His job at Joy Universe lets him manage to his heart’s content, and he fills his free time with community theater. Now, though, he’s being offered a promotion to his dream job: managing Joy Universe’s brand-new theater production company. JU really does make dreams come true—or so he thinks until he meets the ex-Broadway director he’ll have to work with.
Jason Philips is shocked to discover the hot younger guy he was trying to impress at a community theater is going to be managing the production company that just hired him. Scarred by the bad breakup of a long-term relationship, Jase is already nervous about getting back into dating… and now he’s accidentally offended the first guy he tried to flirt with and now has to work with.
As Dimi and Jason get stuck into the craziness of the theater, they have to contend with family, exes, and the nosiness of their colleagues, but nothing will stop them from making this venture a success.

MMy Thoughts and Review
The second book in the Joy Universe Series was every bit as sweet as the first. I fell in love with Dimi in book one, because of his smarts and good-natured personality that won the hearts of anyone who met him.
In book two, where he “takes the lead,” along with the other MC, Jason, a talented Broadway director from NYC, this dynamic pair light up the stage winning hearts through their romance and growing relationship. The two men must work through family drama brought on by prejudice because of the quarter-century age gap.
The guys also have to deal with issues of homophobia and working through separating work-life from home-life, while juggling daily issues that go into producing and directing something worthy of Broadway. To add to the chaos right before curtain call, Jason is informed his cheating ex, whom he’d been with for 17 years is now seeing one of the critics who is coming to see their show. Jason and Dimi believe he may have an agenda, however, and they might just be right…
This series is fun and a JOY to read. It isn’t too over the top, angsty, or filled with overly gratuitous playtime, but rather just enough to be sweet and genuine. As Goldilocks would say, “this one’s just right.” So, if you want a sweet escape, the cast of, Follow My Lead is waiting in the wings for their cue to take you away.
